JavaScript and Databases: a Perfect Match

Oracle 23c just released with in-database JavaScript application programming, powered by GraalVM. JavaScript boosts developer productivity because of its popularity and availability of open-source code. But what does it take to make a JavaScript runtime (GraalVM) work (efficiently!) in a complex system like a database (Oracle) and scale to thousands of users? This talk will not only answer this question, but also show JavaScript application development live in the database.
