Different Views on the same Data – Relational, JSON and Graph Data Models all-in-one with Oracle Converged Database

We start this talk with a live demonstration showing that the same data in the same database can be looked at in several different ways, ranging from the classical relational table view to JSON documents and even property graphs. These different ways of looking at data enables application developers and data practitioners to choose whatever data model suites them best and gives them the flexibility they need without compromising on great database concepts like ACID transactions and normal forms. After seeing the benefits of this approach, we will talk about some of the implementation decisions that helped making this not only functionally correct, but also fast. In addition, we will show how graph technology can boost performance of operations needed in generative AI pipelines.
