Josef Eisl
Josef Eisl is a researcher at Oracle Labs. He is curious about programming languages, compilers, register allocation, virtual machines and everything related. In 2014, he started working on GraalVM, a high-performance polyglot virtual machine. Currently, he is a member of the Native Image team that builds the ahead-of-time compilation technology to turn Java code into standalone executables. Before that, he worked on GraalVM LLVM Runtime, the LLVM bitcode engine of GraalVM.
Josef holds an MSc in Computer Science from the TU Wien (Vienna, Austria) and a PhD in Computer Science from the Johannes Kepler University Linz (Austria).
