Jirka Maršík is a member of the GraalVM project at Oracle Labs. He spends his time working on the JavaScript engine and on TRegex, a regular expression engine, in particular its evolving support for JavaScript, Python and Ruby regular expressions.

Before joining Oracle Labs in May 2017, Jirka worked at INRIA, where he earned his PhD degree formalizing natural language semantics using theories of programming language side effects (effects and handlers, monads).
