Summary

Develop new circuits and topologies for integrated DC-DC converters and voltage regulators in conjunction with micro-architecture for energy-efficient and fine-grained spatio-temporal power management with wide dynamic ranges. Research topics include: Integrated Buck Converters, Switched Capacitor IVRs, Linear point-of-load (PoL) IVRs, Embedded Passives, IVR enabled Microarchitecture level Power Management, etc. The overall goal, at the end of year 2 of this project, is to produce a system-in-package (SIP) with embedded C & L (mag. core), Buck Converter, SOC and Power Transmission Lines (PTL).
