Summary
Prof Vitek leads a world-class group of virtual machine implementors, and has NSF funding to work towards a high-performance implementation of R (the most widely used programming language for analytics, and Oracle's strategic choice). Prof Vitek's team bring considerable expertise on R and other dynamic languages to Project Alphabet Soup.
