Steve joined Oracle Labs in 2015 as a member of the Penumbra persistent memory project. His work at Oracle Labs is focused on the impact of persistent memory on storage and system architectures.

Steve has extensive experience in the storage industry ranging from hardware design through system software. Prior to joining Oracle Labs, he was most recently a storage system researcher in NetApp's Advanced Technology Group. He also represented NetApp in the SNIA NVM Programming Technical Working Group, where he contributed to the development of the SNIA NVM Programming Model specification.
