Mark Esguerra - Software Developer / It Support Engineer
Mark studied at the University of California, Santa Cruz where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering with a focus on Robotics and Dynamic Control Systems.
He began his career as a software developer for the Department of Defense where he wrote embedded software for real-time data measurement systems for multiple microcontroller and FPGA based systems. He then joined Oracle Labs as a member of the RAPID project as an embedded software developer and test engineer. By performing tests for the custom hardware and observing its behavior, he acquired an interest in automated systems, including sensor design, data collection, and data analytics.
Mark continues to explore modern technologies by providing support for Oracle Labs' project teams as member of the IT group. There, he focuses on server and network infrastructure and DevOps. He is also part of the Web Development team where he focuses on developing full stack solutions to deliver feature-rich content and functionality for Labs employees and the public.
In his free time, you will find Mark riding his bike or working with his microcontroller-based automated pet feeding and data collection systems.
